Coy & Wilma’s Campground offers full hookup, back-in RV sites and three unique cabins.
Cabin 1 (The Barn) has been refurbished and turned into a really cool family cabin, it was originally built in the 1940’s and served as a barn. This is a comfortable cabin with a kitchen, bathroom, open sleeping loft, TV, and tons of charm. 4-6 people can comfortably sleep here.
Cabin 2 (The Kitchen) has been turned into a brand new cabin after serving as Wilma’s kitchen for over 30 years. It can comfortably sleep 2-3 people and has a bathroom, full kitchen, comfy living area, TV, a cozy bedroom with king bed, and a deck.
Cabin 3 (The Original) is one of the original hunting and fishing cabins at the campground. This is a great option for a couple or single as it can comfortably sleep 2-3 people. The cabin itself is on a second level and features a deck that offers amazing views of the fishing pond. Guests can enjoy a bathroom, full kitchen, TV, comfortable recliners, and a sofa sleeper.
Things to do in Sesser, Illinois
Many campers come to Coy & Wilma’s to spend time at the beautiful 18,900 acre Rend Lake. Boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, tubing, swimming, and relaxing on the beach are all popular activities. Rend Lake is one of the biggest lakes in the state, and it’s well-known for its Channel Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill, and Hybrid Striped Bass. Campers at Coy & Wilma’s have access to a nearby boat launch. If you’re a hunter, The Rend Lake Hunting Preserve is popular for waterfowl and deer.
The campground is located right next door to the Rend Lake Bike Trail and a short drive from the Shawnee National Forest, popular for hiking and horseback riding. Wayne Fitzgerrell State Recreation Area borders Rend Lake, and Pyramid State Recreation Area is just over 30 minutes away.
