The National Park Service is celebrating it’s 100th birthday this year!
The National Park Services manages 59 unique national parks in the United States. The diverse landscapes of the parks offer visitors the opportunity to explore barren deserts, rain forests, mountains, beaches, caves, meadows, alpine lakes, and so much more!
All of the national parks offer excellent outdoor recreation. From hiking and backpacking to rock climbing and kayaking, the adventures are endless.
Want to get involved in the 2016 National Park Service centennial? Find the park closest to you (or plan a road trip) and get ready to celebrate during the month of August! Special events will be taking place in national parks across the country, including free admission to the national parks from August 25th through August 28th.
