French Creek is located right on the Mickelson Trail, so you can bike or hike the entire length of the Black Hills right from French Creek. Other nearby attractions include Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park (only 5 miles from the campground!), Deadwood, and national parks.
This campground is near town for your convenience, but because it’s flanked by two city parks and backed by the famous French Creek, you will feel like you are in your own world.
French Creek offers shade, grass, and plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing while you enjoy your full hook-up RV site or tent site.
2. Sturgis: No Name City Luxury Cabins and RV
Want to be near the action? If you’re looking for a cozy cabin or comfortable campsite near popular attractions, then No Name City Luxury Cabins & RV could be the campground for you!
This full service resort, nestled in the beautiful Black Hills, offers opportunities for exploring Bear Butte State Park, Wonderland Caves, and Spearfish Canyon or spend time at the pavilion/bar in the campground and relax before you head out for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
No Name City offers 25 cabins with a variety of bedding configurations that sleep from two to eight people, extra large cabins with separate bedrooms, and even a jacuzzi cabin. The cabins are available with or without bathrooms and have all the amenities including TV with DVD players, kitchenettes, and high speed internet.
All RV sites are big rig friendly and offer both long pull-through sites and shaded back-in sites. On the property you will find a heated in-ground pool, two hot tubs, pool table, bar/pavilion, laundry facilities, and free private showers.
3. Spearfish: Chris’ Campground
Looking for some South Dakota hospitality? If you’re longing for a campground that feels like home, Chris’ Campground could be the perfect place for your next getaway!
This campground is within easy driving distance to all of the Black Hills attractions including historic Deadwood and Lead, majestic Spearfish Canyon, Mount Rushmore Memorial, Crazy Horse, Devil’s Tower, beautiful Needles Highway, and Iron Mountain Road.
Want to spend a day at the campground? Kids will love the animal petting farm and participating in daily bottle feedings, or the entire family can enjoy three heated swimming pools, a basketball court, and a playground.
Chris’ Campground is a full service campground offering deluxe pull thru full hook-ups, shaded basic tent sites, and primitive camping cabins.
4. Sturgis: Days End Campground
Longing for a clean, comfortable campground? If you want to come home to a relaxing campground after a long day of exploring nearby attractions, Days End Campground could be your next vacation destination!
This campground is conveniently located near many Black Hills area attractions like Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Dinosaur Park, Wonderland Cave, and many more!
Want to spend the day on the water? The beautiful Pactola Lake is only an hour away. Enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, or jet skiing on the largest reservoir in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Days End Campground offers 30 custom built, cozy cabins that include A/C, cable TV, coffee pot, and mini fridge, 100 full hook-up RV sites, and shaded tent sites. 5. Hill City: Three Forks Campground

Three Forks Campground offers tent sites, full hook-up RV sites, and sleeping cabins. All cabins are equipped with A/C and electricity and feature multiple bedding arrangements, picnic tables, personal fire pits, and propane grills.
6. Custer: Broken Arrow Horse Campground
