Maine

New York
You may have heard of Wildwood for its beaches and boardwalk — but what about Wildwood State Park, with its 600 acres of beaches and bluffs? If you want to give beach camping a try, don’t pass this up; alternatively, head upstate to Hudson Valley for beautiful lake and forest views!
Pennsylvania

New Hampshire

New Jersey
Jersey’s pine forests offer a great change of pace in the mid-Atlantic, without the mountainous elevations that usually come packaged with evergreens. Since the state is so flat, it offers a rare opportunity to get all your hiking in without much elevation change, making for a family-friendly and relaxing camping trip.
Delaware
Ever wanted to canoe down Brandywine Creek and experience the same landscape as George Washington before one of the most important battles in the Revolution? Delaware’s beautiful forests, waterways, and historical destinations make for a great trip to the First State!
Vermont
The state may be known for its dramatic snowy ski slopes (and rightfully so), though Vermont’s plentiful forests make for some of the best forest camping you’ll find in the entire country. Be sure to bring a jacket (or two)!
